Mors Smitt has acquired the shares of STS Rail Ltd in the United Kingdom from Key Technologies PLC.
Based in Cradley Heath, United Kingdom STS Rail Ltd is the manufacturer of the well-known Field & Grant, Tyer BR930 signalling relays, PO3000 Telerelays, AWS/TPWS train protection systems, alarm & indicator units, circuit controllers and foot pedals.
With this acquisition Mors Smitt becomes a true world leader in railway signalling relays and its position on the important UK Railway market will be further strengthened. Today Mors Smitt manufactures in France the N.S1 signalling relays and is the licensee in The Netherlands for the Alstom-GRS B1/B2 signalling relays.
The company name STS-Rail will be changed to Mors Smitt UK Ltd. The company will be part of the MSN BV group (Mors Smitt Netherlands). Mr. Lee Bradford will remain Managing Director.
Manufacturing of the above mentioned products remains at its current location in Cradley Heath, UK.
The business operated by STS Rail Ltd in Wimborne, UK is not part of the transaction and remains with Key Technologies PLC.
