Custom Series Products with CONCEPT 32 Concentrators

Colchester Custom Keypanels The Custom Series of Keyboards, Keypanels and Blank panels manufactured by STS Rail Ltd are individually designed for signal box refurbishment and upgrade programmes.

Custom Keypanels and blank panels are designed to be integrated into Signaller Consoles or used in block shelf applications.

Custom keyboards are designed for free standing applications and are typically desk mounted.

Both keyboards and keypanels provide the Operator with an interface to a CONCEPT 32 telephone concentrator system.

Speech circuits, signalling data and Public Emergency Telephone System (PETS) facilities are provided by a CONCEPT 32 telephone concentrator available in a wide range of cubicle and rack configurations.

All custom products offer a full range of audio and visual alarm warning indicators, and the Operator telephone handset can be integrated into the panel or positioned elsewhere. Custom Keypanels and keyboards consist of non-latching push-buttons with integral high intensity incandescent illumination. The push-buttons are arranged in a matrix of 8 rows or columns, and each button corresponds to a dedicated line circuit.

The identity or location of each external telephone may be shown on the push-button by a clear or coloured transparency insert.

Aston Custom Keypanel The allocation of line circuits to push-buttons may be specified by the User. If greater flexibility of key layout is required, the STS Rails’ Serial Interface Unit (SIU) system offers the ability to position individual keyswitches and alarms anywhere on a panel, free from the limitations imposed by traditional switchstrips.

To supplement our Custom range, we offer Standard Series keyboards for desk-top mounting. The 1306 Series of keyboards have been purpose designed to replace the life expired ‘Protowire’ equipment when used with any CONCEPT 32 telephone concentrator system.
