The STS TPWS System

The STS system is based around a microprosessor control unit to which all other AWS & TPWS equipment is connected. There are 3 main elements

1. Sensing equipment to pick up information from track mounted magnets
2. The control unit to process the information and send instructions directly to the train or driver
3. Driver interface controls and indications
